Dear NYFA LA Community:
Dear Students,
I am writing to let you know that F1 students can now enter the US from the UK, Ireland and Schengen area countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland).
Dear Students,
We hope you are doing well!
The President of NYFA, Michael Young, sent an email yesterday explaining plans for the Fall 2020 start date. NYFA is planning to hold "hybrid classes" in the Fall which means a combination of online classes and on campus classes. As per the new government guidance issued earlier this week, you will be allowed to enter the US as a F1 student taking hybrid classes (provided you have a I 20 certificate, valid F1 visa and valid passport at least 6 months into the future upon entry to the US).

Dear NYFA LA Students,
As we’re entering a new term remotely, I want to make sure I reach out to address mental health and remind you of Counseling Services.

Dear NYFA Students, Faculty, and Staff,
I hope this letter finds you and your families in good health.
During these months of the pandemic NYFA has found new resilience and renewed purpose as a community and we have forged ahead together in our work as artists and educators. Our faculty and administration have been working every day to ensure that students have been able to continue their studies safely throughout, and we are looking forward to welcoming you to campus in the Fall.
Dear Students,
Many of you have probably heard about and/or read the guidance issued yesterday by SEVP and Immigration and Customs Enforcement as it relates to F1 international students studying in the US. Please note that this guidance relates to the upcoming Fall semester and is not for the current Summer semester - you are currently allowed to be studying online at this time. If you are graduating in September you are still be eligible to apply for OPT.
