Hello Students & Alumni! Are you interested in directing a play? The Acting Department is happy to announce that submissions for our Spring 2024 Student Directed Plays are now open! This opportunity is open to current NYFA Students & Alumni from any department! See below for more information, and where to submit. 

These plays will be performed in person.

PLEASE NOTE:

WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING PLAYS WITH CASTS OF 6 ACTORS OR UNDER.

**CURRENT NYFA STUDENTS MUST BE IN GOOD ACADEMIC STANDING IN ORDER TO SUBMIT**

If you are interested in directing your own student production, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Submit either a published or an original play (one-act or full-length​).

2. Submit a brief statement of purpose as to why you would like to direct this particular piece.

3. Submit a brief statement of  the production elements required, including number of actors in the cast, crew, and all production materials (set, props, costumes, and lighting).

4. Students' projects that are slected for consideration will have a "Pitch Session" with the NYFA Project Committee to determine which projects will be chosen.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 3rd. by 12:00PM PST.
