Student Code of Conduct

All enrolled New York Film Academy students are expected to be aware of and abide by the community’s standards of behavior as articulated in the Student Code of Conduct. NYFA’s student code of conduct is in place to create a safe, healthy, and responsible community that allows NYFA students, faculty, and staff to be successful in their creative and professional endeavors.

Faculty/Staff

If a NYFA faculty or staff member witnesses any non-academic behavior that potentially violates our student code of conduct, the faculty/staff member is strongly encouraged to complete and submit the online Incident Form. The Dean of Students will receive the form, review the form and determine if a violation has occurred. If it is decided that a violation occurred, the Dean of Student will open a case, the student alleged to have violated a student code of conduct will receive notification of the alleged violation, the student will be invited to discuss the incident and the allegations with the Dean of Students, and an investigation will potentially ensue.

Students

If a NYFA student witnesses any non-academic behavior that potentially violates the student code of conduct, he/she is strongly encouraged to report the incident to an instructor, department chair or administrator. Students should not complete the online incident form unless instructed to do so by a NYFA faculty or staff member.
