Ever wondered how film festivals work and the best way to get your film into them? Then this event with Marvel/Disney editor and NYFA alum Rudi Womack is for you! 

Come for pizza at 6:30, then Rudi will join Crickett Rumley, Senior Director of NYFA’s Film Festival Department, for a Deep Dive into how films are judged, how to avoid the common mistakes new filmmakers make, and the heavy lifting required once your film becomes an official selection. 

The second part of the program will focus on the Festival-Friendly Film. We’ll screen exciting works-in-progress by NYFA alums Jennifer Marie and Martin LaLanne and discuss what they can do to finalize their cuts and ensure their films appeal to festivals.
