Now in it's 3rd edition, the AT&T Film Awards is seeking imaginative, undiscovered SHORT FILMS from aspiring filmmakers of ALL TYPES who want their voices heard.
The contest is offering PRIZE PACKAGES that include CASH, CAMERA GEAR PRIZES, and FILM WORKSHOPS for youth filmmakers.
There is NO ENTRY FEE to submit your short film -- but the DEADLINE TO SUBMIT is coming up fast; you must submit by Sunday, November 26, 2017 -- in one of the categories below.
CATEGORIES:
BEST SHORT FILM - SHOT ON MOBILE
Open to ALL FILMMAKERS who shoot original shorts filmed using emerging mobile video tech (smartphones, tablets, drones, GoPro)
- Short film must be shot on smartphone, tablet, drone or GoPro
- Length: The film's final running time must not exceed 10 minutes, including credits
- Genre: All genres accepted
- Audio: External recording device(s) may be used if necessary
- Films must be completed after January 1, 2015
- You can use any software to edit your video
- Raw Footage Proof: If selected as finalist, you must submit a 30-second raw footage clip used in the final cut of the film, uncut and unedited for the full duration of 30 seconds or longer to be accepted.

BEST SHORT FILM - COLLEGE STUDENTS
Short Films (shot on ANY medium) - Open to College Students OR recent grads.
- Length: The film's final running time must not exceed 10 minutes, including credits
- Genres: Action/adventure, comedy, documentary, drama, experimental, horror, sci-fi, and thriller
- Supported video file type: .mp4
- Language: Film must be in English
- Films must be completed after January 1, 2015

BEST SPANISH LANGUAGE SHORT FILM - COLLEGE STUDENTS

BEST SHORT FILM - YOUTH (ages 13-18)
Short Films between 90 seconds and 4 minutes - on one of the following three themes:
Theme 1: How Education Opens Doors
Theme 2: Cyberbullying
Theme 3: Distracted Driving
- Length: Film must be a minimum of 90 seconds, not to exceed 4 minutes, including credits
- Supported video file type: .mp4
- Language: Film must be in English
- Must be original work completed by the student that enters
- Filmmakers should avoid any trademarked names or logos of images appearing in their film
PRIZES:
- 1st Place: All-expense paid trip (with parent/guardian) to participate in a Fresh Films summer program, approximately 5-8 days, plus a $2,000 Camera Equipment Kit
- 2nd Place: 1-day Fresh Films workshop for winner and up to 9 friends in winner's hometown, plus a $2,000 Camera Equipment Kit
- 3rd Place: $2,000 Camera Equipment Kit
