If cinema is your passion, you have talent and seek international recognition, it has never been so easy. NewFilmmakers from Spain gives you the opportunity to screen a promotional spot about the two most important Spanish cinema festivals in America, before the watchful eye of directors, actors and producers of international court. Sounds good?
Your 30 seconds commercial will be screened at the 23rd edition of the "Recent Spanish Cinema" in Los Angeles (Oct 19-22) and also at the 7th edition of "Recent Cinema from Spain" in Miami (Nov 16-19). Events will be held at the prestigious Egyptian Theater in Hollywood and Olympia Theater in Miami respectively.
We’re looking for a promotional spot that announces and generates expectation before the arrival of these two events. The winner commercial will be screened online for months prior to both festivals in digital platforms chosen by the organizers, besides being featured in the festival’s official YouTube channel and all its social media (approximately 30,000 followers). Spot can also be aired on TVs with agreements in Spain and the USA.
The Spanish director/producer of the winning short will receive a prize consisting of the distribution of one of his audiovisual works (short film) that he made during 2016-2017 through MOVIBETA Festival & Distribución, sole sponsor of the competition, which will be in charge of Its distribution in 100 national and international festivals designated by MOVIBETA. The winner agrees to provide MOVIBETA with the necessary materials. In the event that the winner of the Spot already has distribution for one of his shorts made in 2016-2017, or simply does not own any audiovisual work done during 2016-2017, the MOVIBETA prize will not be made in the terms mentioned above. In addition the winner will receive an economic prize of 500 euros (around US$ 560).
