The inaugural LACFF is now open for submissions! Please find the categories and submission deadlines below. Before you start the submission process, please read the 2017 submission rules and regulations. Notification of film acceptance status will occur in September 2017.
Deadlines and Entry Fees:
- Early bird deadline: July 1st - July 31st, free for shorts; $15 (¥100) for features.
- Regular deadline: August 1st - August 15th, $15 (¥100) for shorts; $30 (¥200) for features.
Submission Categories:
- Feature film (40 minute or more, All genres are accepted)
- Short film (40 minutes or less, All genres are accepted)
How to Submit:
1. Read the rules and regulations. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the festival programming committee.
2. Complete the Online Submission Form below.
3. Please choose one of the two options listed below to submit your film:
a) Upload your film to an accredited online platform (such as FilmFreeway, Withoutabox, FestHome, ClickforFestivals, etc. )
b) Include a password-protected link (such as Vimeo, Youtube, Youku, etc.) in your Online Submission Form
If you have any technical issues with the submission of your film, please contact the programming committee at info@lacff.org
4. Make your payment at the bottom of this page. Please choose one of the two payment methods listed below:
a) PayPal (accept Credit/Debit Card)
b) Wechat
If you submit a short film before the Earlybird Deadline, you can skip the payment section.
5. Send the following materials to LACFF programming committee at info@lacff.org. Make sure you include the film title, director’s name and the running time of the film in the email.
a) Three still images of your film
b) One poster of your film (optional)
