The 2017 ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Contest is open for entries! Mark your calendar: the final deadline is July 1. Our Hollywood judges have produced some of the most iconic horror and dark-genre films of the last decade. Get your screenplay to these killer producers and launch your screenwriting career. Horror is one of the proven genres for newcomers to the craft – and we are looking for talented new writers. The industry judges include some of Hollywood's top horror movie producers:
- Sean McKittrick, Film Producer at Darko Entertainment, and the producer of such films as DONNIE DARKO, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES and Jordan Peele’s recent blockbuster GET OUT.
- Scott Henderson, Agent at Paradigm Talent Agency, representing iconic horror filmmaker James Wan who is behind such films as SAW, INSIDIOUS, THE CONJURING and LIGHTS OUT.
- Kailey Marsh, Manager / Producer and CEO of Kailey Marsh Media as well as the creator of Bloodlist.com & BloodList, the highly anticipated annual list of best unproduced horror and dark genre screenplays in Hollywood. Kailey’s clients include multiple staffed writers & directors as well as clients writing projects for studios.
- Ryan Turek, VP of Development at Blumhouse Productions (company credits include PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, INSIDIOUS, SINISTER, OCULUS, THE PURGE, THE GREEN INFERNO and Academy-award nominee WHIPLASH). Turek is also the founder of popular horror website ShockTillYouDrop.com.
