COUNSELING SERVICES SUPPORT FOR NYFA LA STUDENTS

Updated April 10, 2020 – 1:26pm

Dear NYFA LA Students,

You've all made it through the first month of online classes, some of you are empowered and remaining hopeful but many of you are experiencing new feelings involving anger, apathy, unease, and restlessness due to the “indefinite-ness” of it all. The decision to watch/read more news or less news, or to explore more or less apps on how to reduce stress and anxiety is different for all of us. The important truth is that this pandemic is leading to deeply personal experiences with ourselves, our sense of safety and value and the immediate need to check in with our individual bodies and minds outside of the collective uncertainty happening daily.

We are here for you and want to support you. Continue to check out NYFA resources in the NYFA Well News email, by joining NYFA Events, and know that Counseling Services is available for mental health support services in the form of:

  • One-on-one sessions (therapy, psycho-education, addiction/substance management)
  • Online group counseling options
