Description:
Arclight Productions is offering a Documentary Development Internship, geared towards students interested in pursuing a career in non-fiction film. Interns selected for this position will work directly with an Arclight producer/director and other team members, contributing to the process of developing original documentary content. This internship is unpaid for the purposes of professional experience and college credit.
 
Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
  • researching trends in documentary film and TV programming and on the film festival circuit
  • researching and reporting on potential subject matter for films that the company is developing
  • updating database of non-fiction film and television executives at major media companies
  • writing synopses and developing pitch decks for the company's proposed documentary features, shorts, and documentary series
  • assisting in the editing room during the creation of sizzle reels
 
This internship is expected to run twelve weeks and requires a time commitment of 12-24 hours per week during the internship term. Note that Arclight's offices are closed during national holidays.
 
This internship does not involve studio or location production. Arclight offers no promise of paid employment at the end of the internship. To qualify for an internship, student must earn academic credit.
