CASTING CALL!!!
My name is Aron Davidsson, I am from Iceland and worked a lot back there in filmmaking. I ran a Facebook page that did Comedy Sketches and web series with 3 of my colleague´s, we got 6.9 Million views in 2017 on our videos. I have also made a music video that got 2 Million views which is a lot for a small country like Iceland. I am in my second semester in AFA Filmmaking.
Now that you know a little about me I am going to be shooting my intermediate project next semester or 29. October. Here is the logline:
A drama about an alcoholic who relapses and his whole life crumbles as he loses his job, house, and wife who is pregnant with his son. He needs to sober up and get his life back on track to be able to see his future son. Will he overcome all the obstacles and temptations or will he give in to his alcoholism?
This project means a lot to me and is based on real-life experiences. I am looking for the following roles:
Ben (30) handsome, smart, impulsive and depressed. He was a very promising athlete and musician with big dreams but his alcoholism prevented his dreams.
Before the film starts he has had a rough time staying sober but finally gets sober for some time and his family all think he is sober when he relapses and loses his job.
In the film, his wife carrying his unborn son discovers he has relapsed and after the conflict loses them both. After losing everything he is faced with the decision of either to get his shit back together or keep going the same track. He decides to better his life and we follow him in his attempt.
Arthur (60) the head instructor at the rehab center. Cool, wise and kind. Young at heart which makes him very good at connecting with younger alcoholics coming into the rehab center.
Jay (18), awkward and loving but dum-witted. Meets Ben at the rehab center, where they are both in a bad place together and help each other out.
VICTOR (30), Tattooed, Shabby but handsome still thinks he is 16 years old. Ben´s best friend since kindergarten, even though Ben loves him, he is a very bad influence on him.
Elyssa (60), Mia´s mother. Elegantly dressed and tough. Thinks her daughter shouldn´t be with Ben.
