Characters:

• Catherine (25): A young woman who has spent all her life taking care of her sick father, Robert, who was also a mathematical genius. With no friends or aims of her own, we discover whether she has inherited her father’s genius or insanity.
• Hal (28): A young mathematician and a student of Robert’s. Extremely good at what he does and believes that Robert, in his last years, did something spectacular and is determined to find it. Needs to win over Catherine’s trust.
• Claire (29): Catherine’s sister. She’ the daughter that disappeared throughout Robert’s illness. Now she’s back to take care of Catherine who seems to be ‘sick’. Catherine wants to help Claire get back on her feet.
• Robert (50s): A genius mathematician who did most of his best work in his early life. A wise man only to be driven to insanity towards the end of his life. Catherine and Robert have a very strong father-daughter bond.
