Producer needed for Thesis project - Just a Junk Spreader by Lou Dubigeon
Logline: A young quirky French postman who lives in the american desert is devoted to his passion towards letters but has to face disillusionment in a world where one only receives junk, bills and bad news. Until letters start coming and this time they’re hand written.
Project will be shot in the Joshua Tree/Yucca Valley area, crew and cast will be housed there.
What do I need from the producer: Someone to help me with permits (there are two main offices to deal with where I’m filming), any paperwork I would need to get done (pretty much already casted and not working with SAG though), and mainly someone to help me with locations that I’m interested in (approach places in a friendly way to see if we can shoot there, make sure to have a written approval, fill up any paperwork so I can book places in a smooth way) and creatively help me to find another place that is right for the story if we could not get the original place we wanted.
If the producer is free during the shooting dates and wants to come it would be great but it is not required and I have someone who can be there on set for logistics and any other things that need to be done over there (food, organisation, safety, paperwork for crew etc) and who will be able to prep logistics the week before the shoot. I also have a PA and a professional 1st AD for the shoot.
> So I basically need some help in the prep to take some stress off my shoulders and help me being able to focus on the creative side of my project.
Credit in the film and on IMDB will be offered. If the person comes to the set: housing, meals, credit.
If the person can later on help me with festivals it’s even better, would love to have someone helping me select festivals and come with me when accepted somewhere. Not required.
It’s important for me to get someone who likes the film on the creative level and wants to be involved in it that way too. Unfortunately this is not a paid position as most of my budget is going into locations/housing for the crew/ transportation and a little bit of equipment. I’m making sure that everyone will work in a good environment, with a fun crew of people who get along, and will get something out of the experience. I’m planning on having the film into festivals across the world too.
