Hello. My name is Juan Pablo Rosado, and I'm a One-Year Filmmaking student at NYFA Los Angeles. I'm only looking to cast CURRENT NYFA acting students to appear in my short film called "Mackenzie's Shift," a film about the end of high school and the many regrets that occur in our lives.
Logline: On the night before her high school graduation, a hardworking teenager gets a visit from a close friend with a secret.
Mackenzie: 18. Any ethnicity. She works at her uncle's hamburger stand and looks forward to her high school graduation when she can finally bid her old life goodbye and start a new one. She is smart, but she has a tendency to be cynical rather than keeping a positive atitude.
TJ: 18. Any ethicity. He is in love with Mackenzie and hopes that she likes him back. He is always looking for outside love rather than trying to find love within himself. He is shy but wants to connect more with people.
Clark: 18. Any ethnicity. He is Clark's closest friend since they met back in middle school. He is tired of listening to TJ ramble on and on about his crush on Mackenzie, so he pushes TJ to finally tell her how he feels. He is supportive and unpredictable.
There is no pay. Meals and a copy of the finished film will be provided. If you are interested, please send me an email, and we can discuss more about the project.
