PROJECT DESCRIPTION
TITLE: “The Secret Ballot”
FORMAT: Shortfilm
GENRE: Dramedy - Period Piece (Back to the future meets The Imitation Game)
LOGLINE: An astute teen, who wants to be an equal amongst her peers travels back in time, where a resilient female inventor teaches her perseverance against male bigotry.
OVERVIEW: Anne(15) is a girl who wants to be part of the school mathletes team. However, none of her classmates pay any attention to her, and no one listens to her ideas, even though she is the one with the answer that would guarantee them entry into the tournament. When Anne is about to give up, her school teacher helps her by giving her... a board game? Yes, a board game. But not just any board game, it's THE LANDLORD'S GAME, the board game that preceded the famous Monopoly. Thanks to this, she plays the game, and travels back in time to 1904, where she meets LIZZE MAGIE, the forgotten inventor of Monopoly. There, Anne will realize the enormous impact that a tiny invention can have on the future, something that will teach her not to give up so easily.

CHARACTER BIOS - ¿WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
WE ARE LOOKING FOR THREE MALE ACTORS WHO CAN PLAY A FIFTEEN YEAR OLD TEENAGER.
Michael (15): He's a total dork, always with glasses and suspenders. Everyone would think he's a loser; but in truth, on the math team, Michael is the equivalent of the popular kid in the class. He's smart, and he always gets any math problem right. That's what has given him his popularity, as well as his arrogance. His problem is that, despite being bullied in class, he is the one who does the same on the math team. Anne will be the one to teach him a lesson.
