They Know The Way

1940s, Elizabeth and David are two young people at their early 20s, who hate each other since the very childhood, and now they are trying to escape the marriage arranged by their families, while Elizabeth is struggling between the choices, where the first one is to run with her love Alan not knowing what to expect from her parents and their friends, the second one is to marry the man she hates and be a good daughter, and finally the third one is maybe to run with the man she never even liked, jumping into the danger by saving her love’s life and avoiding the marriage, but she has to make this choice right now.

This story is based on a real history and includies fictional charcters.

CASTING CALL

• MICHELLE SANDLER - An elegant woman at her early 40’s, of a caucasian ethnicity with Russian accent, who  moved with her husband and her daughter to USA in 1925. She is an over-controlling mother of Elizabeth Sandler. Wants her daughter to marry David, because as she thinks he is a good candidate for her,  he is Jewish, and moreover a son of her friends.

• JOSEPH SANDLER - Authoritative man about 45 y.o. of a caucasian ethnicity with Russian Accent. Loving father and husband. He is a very close friend with Rafael Levi since the very childhood. And they always had a plan to marry their children and to have common grandchildren. Overprotects his daughter Elizabeth.  He cannot stand Alan, who is in love with his daughter. Joseph also knows the criminal background of his friend Rafael, and therefore he is afraid to make a wrong step, so his family will not suffer.

• ALAN -  at his early 20’s, David's best friend. Soldier in the past.  He is blondie good looking guy with blue eyes. A very intelligent and strong man from Russia. caucasian ethnicity. Russian accent. In love with Elizabeth. He is not aware of Elizabeth’s parents’ plans about the wedding, moreover he doesn’t know that David and Elizabeth know each other. He met Elizabeth in Moscow, when she was getting education there. He looks like a prince perfect, but he is wicked inside and it’s easy for him to betray any person.

• DAVID LEVI -  A young man, who is 23 y.o. A criminal lawyer, who actually knows the criminal background of his father Rafael. He used to serve as a soldier in the air forces with Alan. His eyes are brown, his hair is dark brown. He is quite attractive, strong, assertive confident, active, selfish, reckless, ambitious and a very smart man. Girls love him, and he likes them. He changes girlfriends very often. He seems to be a scoundrel, but he is quite sensitive and the kindest person inside.

• REBECCA LEVI - A woman about 45 y.o. David's mother and Rafael’s wife. A very kind woman with New-York accent. She is the one who wants to marry David and Elizabeth more, than anyone else. She is very sincere and intelligent. Says whats she thinks. She doesn’t know about all her husband’s criminal background. She is a very close friend of Michelle Sandler. She is a wonderful and a very smart woman, but at the same time she is also overprotecting and wants her son to marry to Elizabeth as fast as possible.

• RAFAEL LEVI - A very influential, strong and strict man about 50 y.o.with New-York Accent. Politician and a mafia man. He used to kill people in his past, and is ready to do it again and again if someone doesn’t let him to implement any plan, that came into his mind. Best friend of Joseph since the very childhood, they grew up together in Poland. Thinks he is the a boss of the world. He doesn’t want his son David to be a volunteer soldier for UK.

• TWO ARABIAN MEN - One is about his early 40’s the second one is his son at his mid 20’s. They are in Arabian national clothes, who’s Arabian Language is the first Language. They are fishermen. They help Elizabeth and David after the boat crash, saving their lives and providing them with the food. Although they know about the war between Jewish and Arabians, they help these Jewish young people to get home. They hate the political condition between two nations, and they sure that they are all just the civilians, who can help each other, and live in a piece together without the war.
