Turning Tables tells the story of a middle-aged female who is desperately, seeking a job. Coming across a busy restaurant, Fiona decides to apply. While hoping that she will make an appearance and get an interview. Unaware of the small crew and their different personalities, Fiona is lured back into the restaurant after passing an attractive employee. Over the duration of the day, the crew members begin to slowly fall apart; either quitting or simply leaving their shift. Coming down to just two workers left and the owner by the end of the night; the tables turn when Fiona takes things into her own matter. Fiona joins the crew, helping the crew finish their night with the remaining impatient customers. After assisting the crew, Beatrice, the owner, is highly impressed and offers Fiona a position in joining the family. Naive that she just lost one, possibly two of her employees, Beatrice appreciates Fiona’s determination and her guts for taking the initiative into getting what she wants on her own. Fiona lands the job and is now welcomed into a new family.
