project description:
Logline : A young woman eagerly preparing for her anniversary dinner confronts her deepest insecurities through vivid fantasies, only to face a surprising twist when her boyfriend arrives for a conversation that changes everything.
synopsis:
Lia, a young woman in her early 20s with striking red hair, eagerly prepares for her 5th anniversary with her boyfriend, Simon. She selects a dress, refreshes her makeup, and sends him a loving message. Her excitement turns to dread when Simon replies that they need to talk. Through a series of imagined scenarios, Lia envisions their conversation going horribly wrong. She imagines Simon confessing to infidelity with another man, criticizing her weight harshly, and being overwhelmed by her intense declarations of love, leading to a breakdown. Snapping back to reality, Lia gathers her composure. When Simon arrives, she takes charge of the conversation, candidly addressing her insecurities and fears. She tells him she believes they should break up for his sake, thinking she isn’t good enough for him. In a twist, Simon surprises Lia by getting down on one knee, suggesting a completely different outcome than she anticipated.
Looking for cast:
Simon: Simon is a tall, handsome man in his late 20s with a warm, approachable demeanor often described as having "golden retriever energy." He works in finance, a field that demands much of his time and attention. Despite the pressures of his job, he is deeply committed to his five-year relationship with Lia, whom he considers the love of his life. He is thoughtful and caring, and he plans to propose to her soon, although he harbors some doubts about commitment and fears about the future.
Simon is a complex character, capable of displaying a wide range of emotions and behaviors. He can be funny and endearing, but also must convincingly portray a more serious, even harsh side when the situation demands. His versatility is crucial, especially considering Lia's vivid fantasies where he needs to adopt a feminine demeanor, play the antagonist, and interact with a partner exhibiting extreme behavior. Despite these challenges, Simon's core remains his love for Lia and his desire to build a future with her.
