- African Black American Film Society (ABA Club) The African Black American Film Society is a community dedicated to making change. Students harness their dynamic ability to create in order to make a lasting change and shape views amongst the African Diaspora. The ABA Club attends regular industry events as well as hosting gatherings in the community. Contact: aba.clubla@nyfa.edu
- Chinese Student and Scholars Association (CSSA)The Chinese Student and Scholars Association provide guidance, support, and information to Chinese students to ensure a smooth transition into academic life. CSSA also aims to increase community awareness of Chinese student issues, advocate for Chinese students, and organize student events and cultural activities. Contact: chinese.clubla@nyfa.edu
- Festivals ClubThe purpose of this organization is to develop awareness for local film, television, and new media festivals as well as provide an active outlet for students and recent alumni to network with filmmakers and other professionals on the festival circuit. Through attending and volunteering for festivals, students and alumni will gather and share information, foster relationships with these organizations, identify volunteer opportunities, learn about contests, and organize other extracurricular activities. - LGBTQI+ ClubThe LGBTQI+ Club is a student club that promotes support, guidance, information and activities to its members. It aims to increase community awareness of LGBTQI+ issues and to share and promote the art created by LGBTQI+ members of the club and professionals in the industry. The LGBTQI+ Club promotes discussions about issues that matter to the members and share experiences from different cultures and backgrounds. Contact: lgbtq.clubla@nyfa.edu

Performance Groups
The Acting Department sponsors performance troupes. Auditions typically take place at the beginning of each semester. Contact the Acting Department at 818-333-3558 or studentlife.la@nyfa.edu to learn more.
- Dance TroupeThe Dance Troupe is an audition-only company of dancers and choreographers who work together to create a live dance performance presented at the end of each semester. The Troupe ventures into various styles of dance to create a new experience with each performance.
- Glee ClubThe Glee Club is an audition-only choir that meets weekly to rehearse and prepare musical performances for audiences on campus and in the local area. The Glee Club performs live and A cappella performances as well as in music videos.
- Improv TroupeThe Improv Troupe is an audition-only performance that meets weekly to perform improvisational theater in which dialogue, action, story, and characters are created. The Improv Troupe holds a live performance at the end of each semester and also perform at the famed Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles.
